Keith has spent the last sixteen years working in various facets of the construction and engineering industry. His project experience consists of HVAC, fire protection and plumbing engineering of historical buildings, higher education facilities, athletic facilities and independent schools, including renovations and new construction.
A lifelong student and admirer of construction, Keith’s previous field experience working for general contractors interconnected with his consulting engineering experience provides a breadth and depth of industry knowledge rarely found in a consulting engineer.
SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, Firestone Library - Major MEP renovations to the 420,000 square foot central campus library. The project was designed 100 percent in Revit and included a complete overhaul of the HVAC systems, complete overhaul of the plumbing systems, and the addition of sprinklers throughout including a clean agent Inergen systems protecting rare materials. Princeton University, Princeton, NJ, Dillon Gymnasium – HVAC and plumbing renovations to the locker rooms and varsity team room at the expansive 172,000 square foot gymnasium. Fire protections systems were designed for the entire building to bring the previously unprotected building up to current code compliance. U.S. Military Academy, West Point, NY, Visitors Center - The renovation and addition totaled 38,000 square feet and consisted of museum exhibit space, gift shop, restrooms and a glass wall lobby overlooking the majestic Hudson River. All HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems were overhauled which included new chilled water and heating hot water generation and distribution. Bryn Mawr College, Bryn Mawr, PA Haffner Dorm - Renovation to an existing 1971 dorm and design of a new interconnected multi-story addition totaling 130 beds. A dual temperature changer over fan coil system coupled with a dedicated outdoor system to serve ventilation loads was designed to condition the building. New plumbing and fire protection systems were added throughout. Mercersburg Academy, Mercersburg, PA, Field House – Construction of a new 68,000 square foot state of the art field house. Energy recovery roof top units along with an active ventilation systems for cooling condition the field house. The project also includes an in depth study of the existing central steam heating plant compared to local gas boilers which resulted in the extension of the campus central steam of the field house.
Delaware Historical Society, Wilmington, DE, Heritage Center – MEP renovations which resulted in reconfigured exhibit space, gift shop, classrooms, bathrooms, elevator, and an improved collection storage area. The 40,000 square foot project also included construction of a new two-story connector between the museum and historic 1798 Old Town Hall including renovations to all levels of the late-Georgian / early-Federal style building.
