Evan’s project experience consists of the design of new construction and renovations of historical buildings, corporate office spaces, higher education facilities, and independent schools.
Evan’s responsibilities include the analysis, design, and construction administration of electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm systems. He also serves as the Project Manager on many projects, interacting with Architects and Owners to ensure client satisfaction.
SELECTED PROJECT EXPERIENCE
MITRE Corporation, various locations – Not-for-profit organization that provides office, meeting, and support spaces for government agencies. Eight tenant fitout projects totaling approximately 175,000 square feet at various locations in Maryland and West Virginia. Fitouts comprising office and meeting space with additional requirements for computer labs, server rooms, back-up power and cooling, secure and SCIF spaces.
George School, Newtown, PA – Fifteen projects ranging from minor renovations to new construction and campus utility upgrades. Projects include 90,000 square foot new construction Athletics Center, upgrades, reconfigurations, and additions to normal and emergency power campus distribution systems, addition of cooling to Main Building, and 24kW photovoltaic system. The Athletics Center has achieved LEED certification. University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA – Seven projects including additions, renovations, and new construction, including:
Steinberg Hall Dietrich Hall Café – renovation of printing and reproduction center and addition of café and seating area totaling 12,000 square feet. Silverman Law School – renovation and reconfiguration of classrooms including addition of audiovisual capabilities on four floors totaling 11,000 square feet. Meyer Residence – modernization of 70,000 square foot residence hall including complete replacement of power distribution system. Perry World House – 20,000 square foot new construction comprising office, meeting, and classroom space.
Temple University, Philadelphia, PA, Pearson & McGonigle Halls – Renovation and addition to athletics building. Renovation added 140,000 square feet of recreation area including new men’s and women’s Division 1 basketball practice facilities. Philadelphia Navy Yard, Philadelphia, PA, Energy Efficient Buildings (EEB) Hub – EEB Hub comprises two buildings. The first is a 30,000 square foot renovation and the second is a 25,000 square foot new construction in Philadelphia’s Navy Yard. Renovation of Building 661 will be the EEB Hub’s headquarters and comprises office, meeting, and telepresence spaces with a large atrium. New construction of Building 7R will be a classroom building for a Penn State University satellite campus and comprises office and classroom space with a large, tiered, lecture hall. Both buildings are technology intensive and Building 661 features wireless, digital, addressable lighting controls. Police and Fire Federal Credit Union (PFFCU), Bensalem, PA – Renovation of 45,000 square foot office building. The project comprised office and meeting space, a branch bank, and a data center. Emergency power design included UPS systems, an emergency generator, and provisions for a mobile generator.
The Philadelphia School, Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia School projects consisted of three buildings. The first is a 10,000 square foot renovation to the Lombard Street site. Two new construction projects consisted of the 8,000 square foot Early Childhood Center, and the 6,000 square foot Garage Theater. The Philadelphia School is an independent school educating children from preschool through eighth grade. The Early Childhood Center has achieved LEED Silver Certification.
